Deepika Padukone
Deepika Padukone is an Indian actor, who works mainly in Hindi film. She has won three Filmfare Awards. She is among India's top-paid actors. Time magazine also named her one of 100 influential people throughout the world in 2018. The award also included by Time magazine with the TIME100 Impact Award for 2022. Padukone is the daughter of the player of badminton Prakash Padukone, was born in Copenhagen and grew up in Bangalore. She played badminton at national championships as a teenager but quit the sport to become a model. Then, she was receiving offers to act in films. Her debut acting job was playing Aishwarya the Kannada protagonist. Padukone was then cast in the double role of Shah Rukh Khan opposite her in Om Shanti Om (2007) the debut Bollywood release. The film was awarded Padukone her the Filmfare Award Best Female Debut. Padukone was praised for her performance as the lead character in Love Aaj Kal, but later suffered a setback.
