King Von

KingKing Von (real nickname Dayvon Daquan Bennett) was born on August 9, 1994, in Chicago, Illinois, to Walter Bennett and Taesha. He had three brothers and two sisters from his maternal grandmother. His father was a father to six half-siblings. Bennett was mostly raised by his mother due to his father's frequent time spent in prison. Bennett's father was shot and killed. assassinated when Bennett turned 11. He was just 16 years old when he died, Bennett did his first stint in jail in what was but the start in a series of confrontations with law enforcement. Afterward, he got some college credits at South Suburban College in South Holland, Illinois. As a way to improve himself due to legal trouble, Bennett began pursuing his musical career, and was collaborating frequently with fellow rapper Lil Durk.Although "Welcome to O'Block" was the sole album that studio Von released during his lifetime, a posthumous album entitled "What is it to be King" came out posthumously in March of 2022.
